Abi Hackett’s doctoral research focussed on the importance of movement and how children’s experience places through their bodies during museum visits.
This blog provides a brief introduction to this research, which has also been published in academic articles in Journal of Early Childhood Literacy, Journal of Education in Museums and Children and Society.
Abigail Hackett, Lisa Procter and Christina MacRae are currently carrying out a new research project with Humber Museums Partnership, looking at how young children and families experience Humber Museums. We will share the findings of this research on this website later in 2017.
